In "Praise of Chance": Photographic excursions to New York City in 1981 to 2019. An exploration of the drivers of chance in the cityscape including the unintended consequences of change over time, the pragmatism of construction and business activities and neglect.




Looking west from the Union Square Greenmarket is an example of the accidental cityscape that took form from the shape and size of building lots and dates of construction. The 2nd building from the left was the location of Andy Warhol's studio (the "Factory") from 1986 to 1973.
