The “Memory Bales” images are created as collage from torn prints of sketches and photographs, of places with closely held memories. They are reassembled into “bales” in a process of managed chance. As with the centuries-old agriculture threshing process, the all important kernel is separated by threshing. What is left behind, which has also has uses, is baled.
